Jen and Ron: married!

Jen and Ron were married at the Log House Gardens in Keizer, Oregon, which is the wedding venue run by Willow Lake Nursery. Jen and Ron designed their wedding to be fun, and indeed that is what it was: water balloon fights, badminton games, a cotton candy machine, kids got up as fairies, face painting, jars and jars of candy….

At one point, toward the end of the day after most of the guests had left, Jen and Ron and I went for a walk, camera at the ready, around the nursery. They have a wonderful hazelnut grove there — rows of trees like the aisles in a cathedral. With an amber gel on the flash and the white balance of the camera set to blue, we got this lovely shot.

And then, as we were leaving the hazelnut grove, we noticed that the big sprinklers were on. I love the celebratory arcs of water behind them.
