McKenzie and Ross are married!

McKenzie and Ross regaled friends and family in the vineyard belonging to McKenzie’s parents — Freedom Hill Vineyard — near Dallas, Oregon. And what a site it was, high up on a hill overlooking the Willamette Valley with all its patchwork fields and forests. Squint a little bit, and you could imagine you were in Tuscany! Certainly the wine was just as good.

McKenzie and Ross used a hay wagon and bus to cart people from the ceremony site — tucked away in a little grove of trees — up to the reception site on top of the hill.

From a photographer’s perspective, one thing I really loved here was the sense of big sky. It was such a pleasure to put on a wide angle lens and include as much sky as possible as background.

Eat Your Heart Out Catering of Portland provided the sumptuous meal.

The DJ was Stephen of Event Team Northwest, a masterful master of ceremonies.
